taking back roads

man cannot live on bread alone {except for my son}

I’m huuuun-gry! I hear that about 453 times a day.

Drives me c r a z y.

A&J will eat just about anything. But B…Oh that child. He’s already so thin, his little brother out weighs him. He pretty much only likes 2 things – cereal and pb&j sammie’s. And of course it’s the super-duper sugary cereal that he wants – you know, the kind where you might as well just grab a spoon and eat sugar out of the jar..

Yesterday I tried to be fun mom and made him graham crackers with peanut butter and his named spelled out in raisins.

I give up.

Good Eats!

In honor of Thanksgiving this post will be mainly about food. 🙂

L took to solids like an old pro! I’m hoping this will help keep her full and she’ll start sleeping through the night.

So when I heard Hostess may be shutting down, I went out and bought a box of Twinkies since I’d never had one before.

I wasn’t missing much.

Kids weren’t that impressed either and haven’t asked to have another one.

Over the weekend M gave the boys haircuts. One enjoys it:

Don’t you just love L’s expression in this picture? We call it a L-sandwich!

Hope you all have a Happy and safe Thanksgiving!!

Sick Days

20121115-134604.jpg

Lots of sniffles and coughs around here this week. A is quite sad – not only is her nose raw and stomach hurt from coughing, she no longer has perfect attendance.

Really nothing else new to report. We (J & L and myself) spend a lot of time in the van looking for a house. Though the kids don’t really like being stuck in the car, I’m enjoying discovering new towns/areas of the Upstate area.

One week to Thanksgiving!! Which means one week, one day to Black Friday!!! Woohoo! Will you be taking part of the shopping chaos? A & B have lists ready for me: B wants a cat, a two story house and a fast car. A wants her own cellphone and iPod, another American Girl Doll (hers needs a friend she says), a Nintendo DS and some Uggs.
This one just wants more hair, less mullet 😉

November 1st?!

November 1st! Can you believe it?!

You know why I like November? Christmas Music! Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Mariah Carey, the traditional songs..doesn’t matter, love it all (Well, minus anything by The Chipmunks)! I’ll be listening from today until Christmas!
And its going to drive M crazy! 😀

This time last year we decided we were going to stop talking about moving and DO IT! M took on a 2nd job, we watched every penny and saved like c r a z y. And here we are!

{Still a little shocked that we live in South Carolina}

We also learned we were expecting #4
And here she is, four months today!

Halloween was a little different since we went trick or treating to business doors instead of in the neighborhood. Kids got candy and that all that matters to them but unless M can come along next year (He had to work), I don’t think we’ll do that again. It’s hard to keep track of 3 kids in costumes surrounded by lots of other kids in costumes all rushing to fill their bags with candy! Here’s a couple more pics from yesterday:

B is on his field trip right now! Wish I could have joined him! We’re seeing his personality more and more everyday. A is bossy a leader. He’s a follower. Its Jaxon this and Bradley that. He really likes play-doh and puzzles. Lately he’s started drawing a lot too. He doesn’t want to do anything baby: anything J wants to do.. Batman and Spiderman are BIG! A few weeks ago M took him and A to a local theater production here of the Jungle Book and he LOVED it!!!! I wasn’t sure what he’d think so a little surprised at how much he enjoyed it.

Not sure what we’ll do for Fall Break. Picnic at the park? Maybe a trip to Children’s Museum? Hopefully sleeping in though!!! Have a great weekend!! We’ll be cheering Clemson on while they play Duke!
