taking back roads

home sweet home

on January 15, 2013

There’s a light at the end of this tunnel..or at least a new one hanging in the entry way.

Not the clearest picture I know – my arms were probably weak and shaky from working on the ceilings.

20130115-110733.jpg “Taking down popcorn ceilings is a blast!” Said no one ever.
But it’s done. Kinda. We’re going to leave it up in kids rooms and kitchen for now. We have plans to update kitchen so we’ll scrape it then. Maybe. Or maybe I’ll never scrape another ceiling in my life. I had this great idea to surprise M and scrape our room while he was at work.

Next time I’ll just buy him something.

What should have taken only a few hours, took 3 days- thanks to breaking up fights, getting snacks, wiping booties and kissing boo-boo’s..

But in all honesty, it’s really not hard, just time consuming. And messy!

Em, A little blood sweat and tears just makes home sweet home that much sweeter….and the kids will appreciate it a little better also, will you give them a brush to paint their own rooms? Just joking, joking joking….plus an acre size yard, that is great!! so much better than what you had. We also have an acre plus a lake so these boys got lucky..
