The REAL Lightning McQueen

on September 7, 2013

Yesterday we were invited to a local race at Anderson Motor Speedway. Now, I don’t want to sound snobby but I felt a *tad* out of place. I didn’t have any race wear, hat, camo, beer or cigarettes. However, I did find myself getting into the race- annoyed at all the cautions and cheering them on at the end.

But not this one!

Other Fun on Wheels news – the kids took the bus home yesterday. I’ve been going back and forth about it but the time/gas and disruption to Lydia’s afternoon nap..it just makes sense to let them ride.

They of course loved it and begged to ride everyday.

The other kid is missing because he’s anti-pictures, remember.

**There was a slight moment of panic when the transportation office called me at 2:45 saying they didn’t know where to drop off Abby.
What?!? Where’s Ben?!
But it ended up being a miscommunication and they were trying to figure out another new riders address. Because of this confusion they were way behind schedule.

You have no idea how happy I was to see that bus coming around the corner!!!

Emily, You need to relax…those bus drivers are very well trained and your kids will be fine, and you pay school taxes so let those kids ride the bus!! I drove special ed. bus for 7 yrs. and those 10 kids were the same as a bus load of 65..but we had fun and I really enjoyed it. Those kids will be fine!!!! A new experience for them to talk about, and new way to make friends…M.
