Abby had such a great year. She participated in Girls on the Run and the news team LLN (Liberty Lab News). Hoping next year is better for Ben. He is such a bright boy. His reading score is at a 1st semester, Fourth grade level. His favorite subject is math. I’ve purchased a couple of workbooks to keep those brains going and we’re going to read, read, read!

Other Summer plans: swim, parks, free movies.

Summer Rules:
1. Make good choices
2. Be kind

Hopefully we can cut down on the tattling and fighting. And I keep my sanity.

And then, before we know it, it’ll be time for FIFTH, Second and J in all day Kindergarten.

John passed away last night, peacefully at home with Katrina. He was an extraordinary man. So full of life and SO MANY STORIES. And I am beyond blessed that I was his niece. I thank you for all of your love and support, prayers and well wishes.
Here is a YouTube video from my visit in March:

John David, Uncle Johnny, Rocket John, Johnny Friendly, Mountain John… Thank you for so many smiles, and so many laughs!!

Last Day 4K

Sweet boy is all done with school. What a great year!  Today he was given the ‘Three Musketeers Award’ – recognized for being one if the friendliest and most welcoming student.

Everyday he was up at the crack of dawn, excited for the day. Often he wanted to skip breakfast just to get to school sooner. After school he insisted we do homework right way, made sure I saw any notes and got his bag ready for the next day – it was important to him to make his teachers proud.

He’s so sad that the year is over and  won’t be seeing his teachers and  friends daily, he gets teary when thinking about it. He’s already asked how many days until he goes back 🙂

I think he’ll really enjoy Kindergarten!
